* Tee sign post and bag tree posts were installed last week.
* 10 benches were installed - 5 for red tees, 5 for white
* Dave and I finalized the pin postions today. EVERY hole will have 2 placements. Those who played in the feedback tournament will find them most familiar, if not the exact same. Although with all of the vegatation now dead, we were able to make some needed adjustments. Fewer blind holes. Some very challenging alternates. More are lefty friendly.
Coming up.
* I will advise the contractor on the best placements for walking paths between holes and the navigation signs.
*Contractor will install sleeves, but hold off on the targets until the park opens.
* City will continue to clean up the undergrowth on the DG hillside. Much like they have done in the entrance area at the bottom of the hill.
* Tee signs are being designed by a graphics company. Should be installed in a few weeks.
Not sure of a launch date. This new section of the park is still un-opened. Waiting on some decisions about access road, parking lots, etc. Spring maybe?
If I get a chance I will type up the hole lengths. A lot of variety. 10 holes ---2 tee areas for each hole -- 2 pin placements for each hole. From the whites, 3 are over 300' and one over 500'. We also have a 273' uphill shot that you will love to hate.
Don't discount the reds either.
I told Dave today that everytime we work on this course -------it seems I like it even more. I predict a you will enjoy the balance between challenge and fun.
Thanks,
Ron
