Any more news on locations or if the city will allow a course here in Spring Hill? I have been wearing out Liberty, but would love to have one in my backyard. Keep us posted.

Wish it was big enough for eighteen and I owned the land behind it. The search for a spot would be over.

Sooo, Thompson Station is having it's first sweet tea festival. Why does that matter? They will have disc golf baskets and info for a new project they want to do for outdoor recreation in Spring Hill, including some new walking trails, ropes course, and disc golf. It will be held at Homestead manor (the old house at the four way by the bp and church on columbia ave.), on August 26th I believe. I will find out for sure and repost.

My Bad --- again.
I meant to post some more info about this, but alas --- I didn't. Again.
Following is what I posted a couple of weeks ago.
In short, WCDGC is hosting a tent at the festival. And yes, I need some help. I will fine -tune the list of who is doing what on Wedesday.
________________________________________________ Rebecca ,with OE, and I met last month at the mansion (location of the Sweet Tea Festival).
OE is the folks raising money for the park in TS. Awesome piece of land. I have had several meetings with these folks. Helped with budget, etc. This course will happen one day. If you have an extra 30 mil laying around -- maybe you could buy the land?
For the festival, We are looking to create a bit of DG awareness and have a bit of fun at this event. ----- It would have been cool to set up a temp course on this land, but as it turns out -- it is mostly a big HOT open unmowed field.
So, WCDGC will be hosting a tent. We will have a 3 hole course, putting games, on-going clinic, etc.
Since we already have a little piece of land to set up on --- we don't need much more.
The list of things we DON'T have yet goes something like this: People to host/ set up. People to set up course/ run course. People to set up and run putting games. People to set up and run clinics. Temp baskets, tent, signs, etc
If you help, you get free entry to the festival. _________________________________________________
Thanks, Ron

Unfortunally I have been chosen to work on call the 28th but I do have an extra temp basket if you need one. It is a M14 but it is a basket if needed. Just let me know.

Spring Hill Parks is doing a survey about parks. And Disc Golf is listed on the survey. Pleeze follow this link and take the survey. It doesn't ask if you are a citizen of Spring Hill. springhilltn.org/Click on the Green Box. Forward this to any and all. Thanks, Ron

There's also nothing showing your specific personal info and showing them if you take the survey more than once, assuming they don't have an ISP address tracker. Wait, what? Huh? Ethics!!!

The City of Spring Hill is holding a public meeting about parks. Attend if you can.
A bit of info:
The City will host a public workshop on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 beginning at 6:30 P.M. at the Spring Hill City Hall, 199 Town Center Parkway. The meeting will consist of a presentation by WSA study team members regarding the study purpose and objectives, results of the needs analysis and a summary of the online community survey. After the presentation citizens will have the opportunity to express their ideas, issues, and concerns regarding the plan. Citizens will also have an opportunity to identify potential locations for parks and greenways facilities on provided maps
