I dont always have time to make it to an actual course (especially with it quickly getting dark early now ) but I have in the past week made it to an open area just to practice throwing a few times. Does anyone else do this? Do you pass by an open field on the way somewhere and think 'that would be a nice place to throw a disc'? Yesterday I took the dog with me to the Spring Hill Battlefield. Throwing downhill produced some of my best throws ever! Only problems is I almost lost a Cheetah disc lol (grass is mowed but a few inches high)

My friends and I like to go to football fields in the summer and throw field goals. As I recall, we've made it at 90 yards (from the other 20 yard line) but couldn't make 100.

That's a neat idea. Let me know the next time you go and do that. I would like to join you. I think I might could consistently hit 20 yard field goals. LOL

The course in Smyrna has a few huge fields before the courses that I go and practice with new discs. Not real local to Franklin, I know.

There's a very large field at the SW corner of Downs and Boyd Mill next to the road in front of the soccer arena. Area is west of Franklin on 96. It is not mowed (just knocked down) so you have to watch where you throw but there is a ton of room. I try to hit a field somewhere 3-4 times each month. Great for practice and for working out general bad attitudes.

Is there an easily accessible football field in Spring Hill that anyone knows of? The Battlefield in SH is great but I was there yesterday and it could use a mowing...very easy to lose a disc(s) in the grass, and if you are there around sundown you have to be careful. Good to have a dog with you that can help locate them
