It is time to work on tee signs. I am looking for someone to help me;
1. Drive over to the course. 2. Sketch each hole; tee - fairway - target - obstacles. 3. Transfer to PC graphic package. 4. Make CD for sign shop. 5. Put CD in an envelope for the contractor.
I can handle #'s 1 and 5, but am beyond my skill set on #'s 2,3, and 4.
If you can help, please call this week at
three seven seven - two three three seven
Thanks, Ron

John, Great to hear from you. I love the tee signs. Well done.
I will be in town this Christmas. Count on playing.
Crockett should have NSTTP's installed this fall. All level, with retaining walls, etc.
NSTTP's = Non Slip Temporary Tee Pads.

Ron, Thanks ... I really enjoy doing them ... fun stuff. Cool ... it'll be fun playing with you and anyone who wants to hook up that week. I can't wait to get back down there an play again. Crockett with tee pads! Woohoo! Nice. Will the Liberty course be playable by Christmas? That would be awesome.

You could always make the short drive down to Athens, AL that week to play in the last PDGA sanctioned tournament of the year.
Ron knows the way there, he might even let you ride with him.

Boneman, you do some great work on the signs. If someone did some sketches of the course and mailed them to you, would you be able to do the graphics and computer side of the task (in other words, #'s 3 and 4 of Ron's list of needs) Ron, if this is possible, I think we could handle the drawings. I can meet you at liberty on the 2nd to get started. plus i would like to get you some cash for club fees/bag tag. let me know guys. RD

Hmm... I never really knew anyone read this stuff. Kewl.
John, Yes, Athens is worth the drive ---- with or without a tournament. And given that it has been more than a year since I have played one of Bill's plethora of tournaments -- odds are that I have forgotten my way. ;D (although I am going next weekend )
RD, Thanks. Scott is going to do the graphics/mapping for us, but would like to get you and Steps John (who also volunteered) to help with the sketching.
Timing will go something like this: 1. Contractor finishes clearing the fairway trees and the areas around the tees / targets. As of yesterday- not done. We will just have to wait for this step, because without it, Step 2 won't fly. (pun intended)
2. Design team plays the holes a few times to nail down target placement. Tees are just about set. Thinking of maybe even a mini-feedback-tournament with temp targets. Might be fun AND worth the effort.
3. THEN, we can sketch the holes/graphics/etceterA.
Watcha' think?

RD, Doh! I missed the part about the "2nd". If my schedule allows, I wouldn't mind giving you the Liberty tour.
And cash for the club is most ok. $10 gets you a club bag tag. $30 gets you a club bag tag and a Crockett Tournament disc. For $100 you get all of the above and I will wash your car.

Ron, sounds good. might as well wait for a tour of liberty until the contractor work is complete. just keep me updated on when you need help with the drawings. the feedback tourney sounds great. let us know. lets not worry about the 2nd for now as a meeting time. as for the the fees/bagtag- i'll just keep $30 in my bag. let me know when you think you'll be at crockett again. and i'll try to meet you there. (i'd give the hundred to get the car wash, but i think the dirt/dust/splattered bugs are holding it together) RD
