I made it out to the park on Saturday shortly after 3pm and was blessed with perhaps the best weather for disc golf I have ever played in. It was perfect.
I ended up finding all the holes, but not without some serious effort (darn you, #4), and a little help (back 9). I found the course challenging, and I realize that may be more of a comment on my skill level than the difficulty of the course. Overall, I must say, thank you very much to all involved in getting this course set up. It is obviously a labor of love, and I look forward to supporting the endeavor.
I would like to help with the mapping of the course by walking it out and recording the landscape. From some free hand sketches and notes, I can draw it out in Visio and then post it on our boards. Beyond that, the map can be repurposed anyway the course managers like.
If anyone would like to meet me out there sometime in the coming weekends, I'd love the company. Also, if anyone has a distance recorder, that might make the map more accurate.
If this conflicts with other plans regarding the map, let me know and I'll sit back.
