Hi,
I live in Brentwood and play the Crockett Park course and others in Nashville regularly. I just found this site and looking to find out about leagues and tourneys. Can anyone provide me with an overview of the Nashville DG scene.
Thanks
Byron

Hey Byron, Welcome.
Tournaments and Leagues? You may or may not have tried these: * for sure check often at pdga.com for area sanctioned events. * WCDGC is about 1 1/2 years young. Still in our toddling years. We run 2 sanctioned events each year; an ice bowl and a fundraiser (2nd Annual Crockett Charity Classic on April 25th this year) * WCDGC has a home page wcdgc.com Check there for links to some of the other local clubs -- and hopefully our latest news. * Be sure and follow the link to the Midd Tenn page. Some great links there. Awesome course pictures, a weekly event guide, etc. * Other clubs with forums, etc - Jackson, Chattanooga, Cookeville, Hendersonville, Bowling Green KY, Athens and Huntsville, AL Surf at your own risk.
More?? Find the thread on this forum for WCDGC Sunday Doubles. Good stuff.
WCDGC also has 2009 membership and Bag tags ( a thinly veiled attempt to separate you from $10 to invest in club stuff) When club members play (casual or tournament) we also play for lowest tag #. An on-going challenge ladder so to speak.
WCDGC is responsible for the design, upkeep, etc (except mowing) of Crockett. We often schedule volunteer workdays. (and if that ain't gettin' involved -- then nothing is!)
The club also has discs for sale. We keep a semi decent inventory of Innnova stuff. Club sales are open every Sunday afternoon at doubles. Club members can order specific discs for each month's order. Good prices, too.
Oh ---- and we like to play, too !!!
Make some friends, collect some phone numbers, even post here if you are playing. That's what it is all about.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Ron

The Sunday doubles sound fun.... Do you play best shot or scramble? Do you have to bring a partner or do you get assigned a partner?....and finally when on Sunday do you play? Sounds like a blast and looking forward to throwing with you guys soon!!
