It's Official! The Williamson County Disc Golf Club is open and ready for business.
As some of you may know, I have asked Todd Lewis and Richard Godel to open a bank account in the name of Williamson County Disc Golf Club (WCDGC). They have graciously accepted that responsibility. Thanks gentlemen!
I wanted to talk to you about
1. Money going out - expenses.
2. Money coming in - our income.
Expenses.
All initial expenses will be directly related to the installation of the Crockett Disc Golf Course in Brentwood. The majority of the expense of this project is being funded by Leadership Brentwood and Brentwood Parks. Our portion of the expense is for sleeve installation, some signage and some landscaping. About $225 for the back nine, about $125 for the front nine, about $50 for signage, about $100 for tool rental for clearing on the front nine. Total of close to $500 to be spent over the next few weeks.
Future expenses will include the purchase of bag tags (which we will use to raise more funds), and course maintainence. At some point we can expect the club to host tournaments, but first things first.
All expenses will be pre-approved before purchase by a quorom of the WCDGC leadership team; Ron Pittman, Todd Lewis, Richard Godel, and Don Blankenship. Richard or Todd will supply the club check.
Income
We expect to generate ongoing income from club membership sales, bag tag sales, and monthly minis. Details of these items are forthcoming.
In the meantime, we need to generate income the old fashioned way -- We all give some to get things started. Simply put -- we are asking you to donate to the club starter fund.
$10 minimum gets you a club membership for 2007 and a bag tag. And that's fine, if that is what you can do at this time
Comma, but,
I am personally asking all working business men who will call this their HOME COURSE, to start with $50.
Sooner is better, because we are still planning on setting some sleeves this weekend. If we don't have enough bucks by this weekend, then I will gladly front the money so we can go ahead with the install.
Please call any of us if you have any questions, and as always -- Thanks!
