You know, I got to thinking that in perfect world there should be a one-to-one relationship between lost discs and returned discs.
But, alas. Our world is not perfect. ------------------------------------------------------------------
So, what do you do when you find a disc?
And a follow-up question. What SHOULD you do?
Ron
And yes, there is also a one-to-one relationship between this post and my lost sidewinder. (Actually "lost" is most unlikely. If it is still laying under the leaves at Liberty, it is not lost , but lonely. It misses me. And if it has been liberated from the leaves, it has bypassed lost and moved to stolen.)

Through my keen sense of observation, I have singlehandedly detected that many people deem it wise to autograph their disks. What's more, many of those John and Jane Hanthingy's are complimented by an assortment of digits, usually in clumps of seven or ten. Amazingly, I can program the precise sequence whereinwhich the digits are arranged, and my cellular telephonular communicator will "ring." Many times, those rings will abruptly cease and be supplemented by a human voice.
"Dude. Found your disc. Want it back?"
It's a simple process, much easier than anything Darwin or Pythagorea may have constructed.
That much said, put your name and number on your discs. If a located disc has said name and number, have the courtesy to call its former owner. Often, that owner will figure out a way to meet up at the course. Sometimes, they'll say to keep it. Sometimes, you'll know someone in common and you can coordinate the return. It's decent, and it ain't hard.
Conversely, If I find plastic that doesn't have those two ingredients... It's mine now.

I wondered if you had ever found your disc Ron. Apparently not! I came back out to Liberty after lunch on that day and still never saw your disc anywhere. Me and Gabby were practicing putts on hole 10 with all my putters and I'm guessing I must have accidentally left an Innova glow putter out there too. It has mysteriously disappeared from my bags and that was the last place I had it! My name and number IS on it though wherever it is!!

Once a disc is found, number is called, and message is left should the finder do anymore to reunite the disc with its owner?
So what's the ruling on how many times one should call and leave messages on the individuals phone line?
