Finally! Some of you already know that I set as my disc-golf-summer-get-a-little-better goal to break par from the red tees at Crockett. (Sure, I know, not a big deal for some.) Prior to the summer, I had been as low as 57 on a couple of occasions, so a 53 or less seemed like a reasonable progression. Man, did I get close several times. I carded 54 four separate times this summer. (My mental game is weak!) Anyway, today, finally had the breakthrough. 26 out, 26 back for a two-under 52. No surprises on the hole-by-hole scoring: Bogeys on 9 and 17, birdies on 5, 6, 10, and 13. Didn't even putt that well -- none of the birdies was from more than 15 feet. Saved par on 16 from 20' or so. Short game needs work next, but for the next goal, I'm thinking Keith's tag. Please excuse the self-indulgent post.

Good job Bryan!!
There was a time when all I wanted was to get into the single digits (over par) on my scores. The small group I played in were all at the same level and we have all progressed Now we strive for even par no matter where were at.
Congrats on your Goal! Its not self-indulgent, its achievment. Its work. You earned it, keep it up!

Bryan, I luv it!! Great goal and well done. Won't be long until below par from the reds is standard fare. It's been fun watching you -- watch all the different styles of the more experienced golfers. Not only have you been paying attention, you are developing a style all your own. Props for being a great ambassador for the sport and the club. Now you can go forth and mold those young hearts and minds. Ron

Major Congrats Bryan. I too decided to make this the summer to dedicate time into learning this great game. There is still much for me to learn, but I'm so enjoying the journey and doing so with some awesome folks. Thanks to so many of you guys who have taken time to show newbies like Bryan and me the finer aspects of the game. Just today, I played Sanders Ferry with slowroll, RD, Cody, and Jeff. Had a great time and was given some excellent new tips that helped me shoot a 59 during our second round on a long and challenging course.
BTW Bryan... The ole bagtag is always a waiting. I'm personally wanting to grab me a signal digit one!
Blessings all!
