I wanted to let everything know that we will be in the process of re-designing Two Rivers very soon. We are in the process of going out and doing some cleanup on the course which begins tomorrow at 09:00AM. If you want to come out and help please feel free. We are planning on hauling off dead branchs, weed eating, etc.

Thats great news. I think there is a lot of potential out there. Do you have a course map of your ideas? Will it involve any of the land on the backside of hole 3s tee?
keep us informed of any other work days and news

I enjoy Two Rivers the way it is now, and I'm sure I will enjoy your new layout just as much. Looks like your main theme of your redesign is to eliminate the constant back and forth nature of the course bouncing across those hills and valleys. Thanks for the updates.

Yes that is one of the main changes to the course is to eliminate so much tiresome walking up and down those hills. That is one of the major complains about the course (check on www.dgcoursereview.com/reviews.php?id=376&mode=rev). We are also looking at getting it back to 9 holes on one side and 9 on the other and correct the signs. We also want to clean up the course and look at having a club to actually take care of it year around.

I played 2 rivers last week and saw carpet teepads down and new numbers on the boxes but still played the old setup since there wasn't a map like you posted above to show me where I was supposed to go now. I did notice that several of the baskets had been moved and it stretched the course out nicely from the old setup. That was a real bonus. We'll have to get togther and have you walk me through the new layout once, so I can burn it into my brain.

I installed those carpet tee pads because we met with the guys in the committee from Cedar Hill and 7 Oaks last week to play the new design for the official approval to begin work if they liked the new proposed changes I've created. They loved it and gave their approval for us to begin work!! I'm pumped! We are going to try and start meeting every out there to work on the course every weekend from here on out. We will be there about 9:30 this Saturday. There have been some tweaks to the redesign that I posted on 12/6 since. Especially on holes #3 and #4, we are going to be utilizing more of the tree line to shoot into on #3 and out of for #4. Come on out on Saturday if you can help and be part of the re-design project if you want. We will be recruiting some people to volunteer to work. Check out the course club page on disc golf scene for updates on the progress. Hope to see you out there. www.discgolfscene.com/clubs/Two_Rivers_Disc_Golf_ClubI played 2 rivers last week and saw carpet teepads down and new numbers on the boxes but still played the old setup since there wasn't a map like you posted above to show me where I was supposed to go now. I had an opportunity to play Two Rivers this past Saturday. In doing so, I met ambroze and two helpers. I must say, those guys have made a wonderful improvement to that course. On top of that, some real nice guys who are really dedicated to bringing that course back to life. I'm sure they will be posting the updated layout very soon. I was fortunate to have them personally update my map I had down loaded. I played the course twice..... Yes that's Right! I played it two times back to back and was NOT exhausted at all! No more up and down the hills with the same ole across the valley throws. Becker joined me the second time around. He too was very pleased with the improved layout. I look forward to playing that course a great deal more than in the past.
Blessings,
Keith

Thanks for the kind words keith! We finished up moving everything last night to complete the front 9. The front 9 is 100% changed and playable. Always keep in mind that there's always going to be work to do for improving (fallen tree branches, adding benches, trash cans, numbers on baskets and basket, etc). Our #1 goal is to get it re-designed and playable and then worry about the esthetics of the course. We will be working tomorrow on the back #9 and looking to get it changed very soon. Concrete tee pads are coming eventually. We have the carpet pads for now to allow us time to play it and make changes if necessary. Here is the layout currently for the front #9. BTW - I am no artist on MS Paint for sure. Here is what I have so far for the back #9 - it's not as detailed since we are not complete but this should show you the new layout.

Course is 100% re-designed and all 18 are playable. We will have to deal with the carpet tee pads until we are able to being work on the concrete pads.
