I entered all the parks into Google Maps and tried different combinations. Here's the best order. I did the same thing, and I agree. You can do a little better (not much) if you turn right to stay on Old Hickory instead of going straight as it changes into Burkitt. You will then take a left on Pettus road and hit Nolensville road right at Crockett -- maybe 100 feet south of that intersection. This is right in my backyard, and I can easily be lead car on this leg if we caravan.

Carpooling. Because we're starting out at M'boro and ending at H'ville, we're going to have to plan the carpooling ahead of time. I can drive myself and a couple of others. I'll be setting out from my house in Nolensville, so could pick up anyone in the corridor towards the Boro (Smyrna/ LaVergne) and would be happy to drop off when we're done. Other option would be park at my place in Nolensville and let me return you there when we are finished. I'm an early riser, so I could also backtrack a little and still make the Boro on time, so if you're anywhere in the area, don't hesitate to post. I'll have a good sized cooler in my trunk with extra room as well. Post a note to this thread if interested in carpooling with me, and I will send you a private message with contact info (email/phone).

You don't have to sign up -- just show up at Barfield before 6:00. We'll bring all the official T-shirts and pass them out when we get there.
If you have any questions, call me at eight three two, oh four seven nine, evenings.

Two more issues: 1. Carpooling. Because we're starting out at M'boro and ending at H'ville, we're going to have to plan the carpooling ahead of time. For example: Becker, do you want to ride with the Godels and I? We'll pick you up at 5:15. Yeah, Dave. 5:15. Five-fifteen. A.M. Strangely, I consider this to be the craziest part of the Crazy 8s. See you in a little less than three weeks.

Well, one week to go! It looks like we'll have a pretty good group this year--at least eight.
Right now they're predicting a chance of rain on Saturday. That should keep the civilians off the courses and out of our way. But remember to bring dry socks and shirts. You might also want to bring dry shoes in case there's dew or rain on the grass. We all appreciate "happy feet," especially us old folks.
Still crazy after all these years, Dave the editer

Well, the Weather Channel says there's only a 20% chance of rain tomorrow, and the temperature is supposed to stay under 90, so it should be a good day.
Come on out to Barfield at 6:00 am and join us!

It was fun. Definitely feeling sore today. Not so much the arms and legs. More so the soles of my feet. Next year I'll be more prepared. Great group of guys!
It was great to see the other courses in the area. Really stretches the game.

Had a great time! We only got seven courses in: we ran out of time and daylight. Lost discs at Liberty and crowds at 7 Oaks cost us time, and we couldn't make it all the way up to Hendersonville before dark.
I survived this year and didn't wimp out. (Yay!) Looking forward to seeing scores.
Overall, feeling pretty good today, though drained and tired for sure.

Here are the results. Ten crazy people played seven courses. Keith joined us on four and shot 240.
398 Becker 419 Jason 425 Grant 438 Dave 439 Richard 444 Carlos 450 Stephen 479 Bryan 483 Gabriel 495 Jay
... and a great time was had by all.

Yo. Figured it was due time to bump this up to the forefront. Doubt I'll be able to join this year, but best of luck to the idiots who participate. Mucho funno.

Yes, have been thinking about this lately. How did the May temperatures work out last year? Was it cool enough to make the loss of an hour of daylight worth it? (I remember there wasn't quite enough time to get in all eight courses. I think that's a shame. ;D) Same thing this year? . . . or back to June?
