...unless you're wearing green, in which case you must throw tomahawk drives with your dominant eye closed on even-numbered strokes.

Here's a first pass at handicaps for the holes:
Hole HCP 1 17 2 13 3 18 4 3 5 15 6 14 7 5 8 8 9 4 10 16 11 10 12 2 13 12 14 7 15 9 16 11 17 1 18 6
The same list, sorted by handicap: Hole HCP 17 1 12 2 4 3 9 4 7 5 18 6 14 7 8 8 15 9 11 10 16 11 13 12 2 13 6 14 5 15 10 16 1 17 3 18
Frex, a group shooting 3.5 strokes below the median would have to play the top 7 holes in tough shot format: 17, 12, 4, 9, 7, 18, and 14.
If you see anything that looks out of place, please say so. I would assume that RD has final say.

...unless you're wearing green, in which case you must throw tomahawk drives with your dominant eye closed on even-numbered strokes. Hold up Becker... I thought we did that one on the 3rd Tuesday's of each month, but only on Tuesday's that the high is > 90 degrees. Right? It's cool boys, I'm not trying to start a fight and I don't expect to win anything either(Doug hasn't even played since the Josh Parrot fundraiser). I just said that maybe you were going too far with all these rules. Sounds like Ron, RD, and Bryan are all about this, so at least 3 people will know what's going on.

Bryan, Ron, Thank you...it is that simple. _We will ALL play BEST shot format for round 1, the whole round, from pad to pin. WHITE TEES For round 2 we will ALL play RED TEES. If your score is higher than the median, your playing best shot the whole round from pad to pin. If your score is lower than the median you will have SOME holes played in TOUGH shot format, the # of which determined by how low your score is off the median. (see examples in other posts) ACES VOID the format and if you or your partner hit one on a particular hole, no matter the format, it counts as a 1 on your score card Your scorecard will have a check mark next to the holes you will play in tough shot format. It really is quite easy, reading it on a board and hearing it at the players meeting will be different. Dont let all these posts confuse you. There are not that many rules, matter of fact there is really only ONE...the tough shot format, and based on the teams I really dont think there will be any team playing more than 6 or 8 holes in this format. Would sure hate to see you miss out slow, it WILL be fun, it WILL make sense, and you and doug will be tough to beat. I hope to see you out there. and becker, you can keep both eyes open for your tomahawk, you just have to stand on one leg

Ok this has been debated in other threads, we all have our opinion of which holes are hardest, easiest, whatever...I would dare say Ive played crockett reds well over 150 times, i know which trees sneak out, which OBs dare....so with that said, this IS the official round 2 tough shot order that will be played......(only by those that have to based on score) please keep in mind this IS NOT the order of hardest to easiest per say It is strickly IMHO the holes that have the most chances of a bad shot occuring, therfore enforcing the tough shot to truly be tough....just be glad its not worst shot.
the order will be
17- 4- 7- 9- 11- 8- 16- 2- 6- 5- 10- 12- 14- 18- 15- 13- 3- 1
So, to try and be clear.....if your team has to play say 8 holes of tough shot.... holes 17, 4, 7, 9, 11, 8, 16, & hole 2 will be marked on your score card and as your team steps onto the pad of said checked hole.....tough shot format will be played pad to pin. all other holes will be played in best shot format.
One other example, say you only have to play two holes of tough shot.....you will only have to play holes 17 and 4 in tough format....all others in best shot.

Ahh. I just realized that the second round was from the red tees. Doh!
I just now thunk this; so I thought I would write it down --
I have been impressed by two things 1. The dynamic process of discussion has been a good thing. It seems to have resulted in a more better gooder event. It shows great trust in each other that we can throw out an idea that is new or different and we know that we won't flame each other.
2. RD's leadership. While seeking our input he has also made the executive decisions at all the right times. He has kept us focused and on task. Hats off.

Sounds like Ron, RD, and Bryan are all about this, so at least 3 people will know what's going on. I explained it to Ryan. We now have four who understand.

Hey RD.... Bob Spanburgh and Dave Cook are also going to play this Saturday. These are some experienced D-golfers (that's a nice way to say older like me. Difference being.. these guys are very good players) that Ron knows. So we may be as high as 10 teams. Just a heads up!
Blessings,
Keith

It's not his fault cause there are real-deal life issues in my friend's path right now, but I still don't know if I have a partner for Saturday. I'll be there either way Saturday morning to bring "The Jug" (that looks nothing like a jug) by for our winners.
Partner or no partner...

I hope everything is going to be fine with Doug.
Thanks for bringing the jug with ya still, and I know a guy name Clint that fits your game, he'll be around if you need him

Basket changes at Crockett. This changes the handicap I believe. Especially on 9 and 4. Just an FYI.

Four baskets have been moved:
4 has been moved behind the tree. 7 has been moved to the right position. 9 has been moved under the power tower. 11 has been moved into the valley.
And, just in case: 10 is still in the longer position. 12 is still in the cave.

Interesting.......4 of our top 5 "tough" shot holes have been moved. Funny.
OK, so the new order will be....and remember its not that the holes are in order of whats harder, but more of which have the most chance of a bad drive, resulting in the tough shot coming into play.... for example, hole 4 may be shorter now....but if your partner ends up on the front side of the big clump of trees well....thats a tough shot
17 -7 -11 -4 -12 -8 -6 -16 -2 -9 -10 -15 -5 -18 -14 -13 -3 -1
two more days....getting excited
