Wanting to see who might be interested in a day trip down to see a couple AL courses.
I'd like to head straight to George Ward in Birmingham (never played it)
Then head up to Huntsville and play Redstone (we will need to get a club member there to get us access as its on a military base, shouldnt be a problem)
If time permits we could then hit Brahan Springs (a fun, short, horton like course)
As a plan B ONLY if Redstone access falls through we could play brahan, followed by Mastin Lake after George W
OR as a plan C ONLY if Redstone access falls through, we could play Heritage followed by Sparkman (two newer courses just off 65) afer George W
I am open to other suggestions, but am set on wanting to play George Ward first....and I have ZERO intrest in playing the Sportsplex or Monte Sano
So, check your calendars and lets plan on leaving Spring Hill area around 7am, that should get us in B-ham teeing off around 9:30ish.....and after all is donw, back home just after dark.
Remember the time change will follow a few weeks after that weekend and it might be one of the last chances to get a good day trip in before the season ends.

GW is my old home. Great choice. Redstone, too.
I will be in LA playing granddad. Gonna miss this one.
