Mark your calendar.
Saturday, February 11 and 18, 9am -- noon.
Pruning, and more pruning. Going to work on a couple of tree lines and openings. Need to get things ready for the Ice Bowl.
Get used to being asked. It's a good thing.
Thanks, Ron

This is HUGE news, get excited. For those new the club/area/course, know that it has been quite a while since we have been able to do some maintenance out there.....and I mean Looooong time.
We have been working hard to build back a two way relationship with the parks dept to allow us to volunteer.
So in other words, this is your chance to help get things back into shape. those unreasonable looking branches in your flight path can be trimmed back now. Those un-level tee pads can be doctored back into a safe teeing area. The seasons Christmas trees are hopefully being multched and dumped for our spreading pleasure. So mark your calendars, try to get out for at least one of these work days. bring your gloves and yard tools, lets get our course back into shape. WE'll have it looking good for the ICE BOWL.
and of course, when the work is done, we'll be throwing a round some discs!

Volunteer Work Day for This Saturday is still on. (18th)
Not too much to do. Course is looking good.
Meet at 10am. Eat some lunch about noonish. If you can stay, we will play, too.
Current list is short 1. Spread a bit of mulch. Bring rakes. Pitch forks. Scoops work better than shovels. *** if you have a wheelbarrow-- bring it. **** 2. A bit of pruning on 12 and 14.
That's about it. Thanks, Ron

Major Issue with the workday
Instead of responding individually to all of the emails, phone calls, and texts about this --- I thought it would be easier to just post it here.
The drama over such a simple issue makes zero sense to me.
The question has been, "Are we going to spread mulch first or prune first?"
I will answer the best way I know how. Yes.
See you tomorrow, Ron
