I posted some pics of this years trophy!! check the WCDGC facebook page. I meant to post it as an album, but it added each on seperate for some reason? anyway, thats what we are playing for folks. Don't forget to feel free and bring any extra items to throw in for CTP's if you have anything....we will have 7 CTPS total, I have 2 discs I'm throwing in to the mix. I'll be out of town till the 29th, catch up with you guys then, and at that point we'll be 5 days away from teeing off safari style!

Quick vote! need to know by Fri at 6PM.
Per usual, one of the safari holes tees from the back of #5 Red tee pad, down the hill and dog legs right onto #6 Fairway to finish on #6 basket.
Had an idea to just set up a temp basket this year at the bottom of the hill near #6 white tee pad and hole out there.
So, the question is....would you guys rather continue to fight the dogleg to #6 basket or use the temp this year?
(this is the one hole that is sorta iffy at having at least some clean line to the pin, though with a spotter one may choose a crazy turnover shot just to see, it is safari after all.)
I am bias to either option, I like them both just teh same, but wanted to hear from you guys on it..and after hearing your opinions, I'll make the final call.
3DAYS!!! to go ;D

On Sunday, Ron and I talked about the lack of entry to 6's fairway from 5R, but I still like the hole as we've played it the last two years - 6's regular basket. If you want to put a temp basket by 6W, I'd say put some markings to make the creek (wet or dry) OB. Either way, the fun part of that hole is the drive down the hill and over the path.

The typical use of a Safari hole is an exhibition match/Final 9/Skins set up. The holes that I have seen were clever uses of existing fairways --- but sometimes linked (adding 2or3 holes together) or even played backwards. That said; the shot down the hill from 5 (or even all the way up at the top of the hill) is a sweet fairway. And in some twisted sort of way--- even the walkpath is a cool fairway. But, there is no real line to the target at 6. Teeing from the top of the hill is cool; a really fun shot. Where to place the target? Somewhere that has a semi-normal line. By the bench? Turn right at the path and hit a temp on the end of the path? (cool, but the walkers will wonder what is up?) Dunno? Thanks for asking. You may wish you hadn't. Ron
