Good Luck recovering any years 1 - 10 tags. A few of us have left over tags from previous years but they will be of higher #s & possibly non-consecutive. So: A. still useful in that some are lower/higher. B. can teach the juniors the value of adaptation.

Richard and I managed nine down last weekend, and Dallas/Jack put together an eight down.
As for the bag tag round, you're right. It IS the fourth Sunday of each month. I'll agree to this: Clint round where the number of clints you get is the number on your tag at the beginning of the round, up to 10. Any double-digit tags get 10 clints to use for the round.
As for the junior bag tag division, I have a 1, 4, 5, 6, and 17 from previous years I'm happy to donate. And if we toss a couple extra bucks in for junior tags next year, count me in. We'll need to figure out what ages kids out of the juniors. 14? 16? Dunno.

I agree with you john. Any consecutive numbers would be good for this year. Becker said he's willing to donate some old tags and he has a 1, that would be great! My opinion of "junior", cutoff would probably be 16. If you can drive yourself to the course to practice, then you can hang with the "adults", during a round. I believe that by the time Harper is 16 he'll out drive us all! We could always make an exception for brand new players under 18 if need be, or even special needs circumstances. The main idea is to grow the sport, so we should cater to the younger generation some. Thanks for the input guys! I feel like we have something that no other club does, but should! It is always great to go throw with you guys! It helps me to learn and grow as well!

We can easily order 20 for 2015 in a different color than the regular and with "Junior" printed on them.

Bryan suggested a good idea for next week's bag tag round. Instead of having the number of clints as the number on your tag, we'll give you a number of clints by what order you're in. Huh? Whuh?
In other words, whoever shows up gets clints according to whoever shows up. If the 1, 5, 9, 13 and 15 tags show up (yeah, we're an odd bunch), those players will get 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 clints, respectively. I'll bring poker chips to let people know how many they get and when the chips are done, so be it.
Playing from the white tees at Crockett.
I'll also suggest if you don't have a tag, you get 5 clints. For those of you relatively new to the game, a clint is a rethrow. We can argue over whether your clint must be used, even if its worse than the original shot. Don't like it? Spend another chip.

Sounds like a fun round to me!
. . . and I will argue that, since it isn't a doubles round, yes, the clint must be used. The original throw is null and void the moment the clint leaves the hand.

Wait, if the re-throw *must* be taken *and* we can use more than one on the same hole why are we calling them "clints" and not "mulligans"?
Just sayin'.

Hmm. Good question. Clint or Mulligan. Clintigan? Since what will be used is for a potentially crappy shot that you will dislike so much, you're willing to take whatever happens with your next shot, I propose we call it a "bryan". Heh.
Whatever term we use, how many should double-digit tags get? 5, 9, 10?

Whatever term we use, how many should double-digit tags get? 5, 9, 10? Ah, terms, terms. I don't think we should think in terms of double-digits. We may only have a couple of single-digits show up. I like Bryan's plan from above - lowest tag gets one, next lowest gets two, etc. We could go a bit beyond five . . . max it out at seven or eight say, and everyone beyond that gets the max. edit: also, with the clintigans in mind, my vote is for doing this from the whites edit too: assuming some non-tagged kids may want to play their own rounds, how many clintigans should they get? Max? Max plus?

White tees. Clintagains ordered by tag order, not number. With the MCO happening this weekend, I expect a low turnout. New players get... 7.
The above was written for decision-making purposes only. If you ever wanted the #1 tag, this is the week to get it.

Suggestions for the August bag tag round coming up this Sunday?
For that matter, August has 5 Sundays; any ideas for the bonus week?

Suggestions for the August bag tag round coming up this Sunday? For that matter, August has 5 Sundays; any ideas for the bonus week? -- Jim This Sunday's bag-tag round will be normal singles from the reds at Crockett . . . and I feel the rest of the year should be normal singles for bag-tags too. We can always switch up and do something fun & different on any of the other Sundays. Like next week perhaps? If left up to me, the 4th Sunday bag-tags for the rest of the year will unfold thusly: August - Crockett reds (making the executive decision for this one) September - Crockett whites October - Crockett reds November - Liberty 20 December - Crockett whites
