Had about 4 expeditions to find fairways this week. Went well.
I think Dave and Jeff found the signature hole. Got a great finish hole, too.
Right now, the flow is better with 10 instead of 9.
My predictions were low. Got some great holes. Next step is to fine tune tee areas, alternate tees, and target placements. (all we really got now is fairways.) Plenty of work/walking left to do.
Expect to be able to play 20 holes --- Just with 10 targets. 10 whites and 10 reds.
Can't really throw much yet. Got some lovely bodock trees to clear first.

Who ever heard of a 10 hole course? ;D Now that's funny. For those that didn't get it -- well--- a bit of sportsplex humor. Had to be there. Bill, all you Athens flat-landers are going to get a workout on this jewel. Not as severe as Clee-Bite, but the elevation makes my calfs hurt just thinking about it. Ron

It's gonna be great! Think of a miniature version of Cedar Hill, but not quite as flat.

Your friendly neighborhood design team is hard at work.
We have marked 10 holes. Each with 2 tees/fairways.
Some got distance, some got elevation, some got serious elevation. All got trees.
Turning out rather nice. Originally we were thinking "Horton", but now --- not really. Got a bit of Cedar Hill, add a couple of Hobson holes, add a couple of Clee-Byte holes, hmmm.... and a Cedars hole, and one really long flat sucker with a creek on the side. Tuning in one now, 2 paths to the basket --- long easy right hand turn OR a bomb over the trees. Just so you know --- lefties did not get left out on this design.
Next week we will look for some nice days. Time for feedback before the trees get cut. I will post here when we are headed out.
After the trees are cut, we will be able to fine-tune each hole. Can't really throw just yet. Bodocks abound.
Thanks, Ron

Sounds really cool ... and it's closer to where I stay when I'm in Thompson Station. Groovy. Promise I won't break any bones when I play it, lol!
