Volunteer Work Day at Liberty
Saturday April 24th 8:45 am until 12noon We have been asked to partner with another civic group on National Service Day to work on the Liberty Disc Golf Course. This is a great chance for others to see just what WCDGC can do. If you can come, post here. If you are a maybe --- that is fine---- just say so. Nothing on our work list is too involved. You can bring friends and family if you like. Bring: Gloves Bug spray 1 or 2 of the following: scoop, shovel, yard rake, lawn rake, sling blade, or pruners. Thanks, Ron Pittman BTW, I meet with the Athletic Director from Franklin City Parks today. Hopefully some announcements about weekly/monthly events, clinics, etc are just around the corner.

I still plan on being there, but I forgot I have an 8am presentation in Murfreesboro for a class of mine. I'll be at Liberty hopefully by 9:30 or so.

Come when you can folks. Come late, leave early. No biggie.
Want to play a round about 12:30ish??? You can tell your significant other that you are on a volunteer project with the city. (all day)
Bring gloves. Tick spray.
Oh, BTW. The city wanted be to post this reminder;
The course will be closed for play from 9am to 12:30pm.
Spread the word.

I have the whole day off from the honeydew. I'll be there with bells on. I can stay and play.

I'll be there with gloves on! ...I'll stay for a round after as well, weather permitting. However, with a 80-90% chance of severe weather from 12noon on, and only a 10% chance at 7am, I'm going to show up for a round before the course closes. Any other early risers care to join me?

I think I can be there then. Dave the editer keep in mind that if the weatherpersons are off by hours and there is hail and tornadoes at 7am, I won't be coming early. ;D Speaking of that...Ron, is this going on no matter what the weather is, or is there an alternate rain date for it?

No, not yet. But, here is a question:
Even during the design of this course we planned on adding some kind of protection barrier for a couple of tee pads.
6 White needs some protection from the 5 tees and 1 White needs some protection from the 8 tees.
Sure, fence and net and proximity activated force-field have been talked about, but Bryan had a great idea -- how about a row of bamboo!!
Any thoughts, experience, etc on a bamboo barrier?

WARNING: through a combination of GPS and aerial photography, I've programmed all of the tree locations into my customized disc guidance chips and they are now flying with active limb avoidance radar. Please realign any expectations of Victory at Liberty accordingly.
