THE KRPS MARSHALL COUNTY OPEN, MARCH 8-9 The 2008 AT&T Bluegrass Disc Golf Series kicks off the year with a new course grand opening: Mike Miller Park in Marshall County (Benton) KY. The course is located very close to Ky Lake Dam, just off I-24 on the Purchase Parkway in West Kentucky. The grand opening of this course will take place just prior to the players meeting. This fun course is set on rolling manicured hills, with a lake in play on the back 9 and fast greens (hill sides) through out. Only 2 holes are over 300 feet, with many holes set up for ace runs down the hills. The event is a PDGA C-tier, and the hole sponsorships are being used for funds to support the Kentucky Parks and Recreation Society’s scholarships for their annual conference. The PDGA will not require membership to play in this event, although PDGA membership forms will be available at the event. Although this is a charity event, 100% of players’ entry fees will be returned as players’ packages and prizes. Player’s packages are available to the first 50 amateur division players signed up. See photos of the course, a map, and registration form here: www.bluegrassdiscgolf.org/MarshallCounty.html

It is me (the PDGA # is a good clue!), and good to see you guys ordinized. Check out the web page www.bluegrassdiscgolf.org for the tour schedule. I am still adding some, as AT&T came in with a few more bucks to spread around, but I am hoping others will run events so I can have a life. Owensboro has gotten their club going and will run an event, and Nichlosville is getting started in disc golf events. You will want to mark Franklin on your to do list, as I have already gotten more sponsorship, so that will be a B-tier. I came by to play a few weeks ago, but I have not been able to find my way around Crocket Park. I guess I need a guide. So I just went and played the Swim Club to get my walk in that day. If you would like some awsom tee signs I can help! I also might be able to help is some ways on course additions, as I talk to your park department each year at the TN Parks trade show. I will be glad to do what I can if it speeds up your efforts, but I do not want to step on any toes - not my style. They did mention you at the show this year and your efforts in the new course. See you on the links, HB

HB, Good to stay in touch. The Bluegrass has progressed nicely. Great rep. Good job.
I travel so seldom. I truly want to go north for some tournys this year. Home fires need me rather regular.
Don't get me started on the Crockett signs. We have been waiting on them so we can officially call it open. We had some temp numbers on the targets but vandals got them. Got my "bear with us sign", too. Just got them replaced.
Sorry about getting turned around there. You need to keep my number for your next trip. Three seven seven- two three three seven.
City is al....most ready to install the tee signs. Pads are at conversation level.
Franklin will be a different story. They have plans and budget for all targets, signs, pads, benches, trails, steps, etc. Land is sortof a cross between Clee-Byte and Hobson. Looking good.
A little short on land. It's a 10 holer. At least they were wise enough to ask for two fairways(tees) for each target. (I'm guessing the HB SuperDuper Trade Show had something to do with that -- thanks)
Thanks, Ron
