I just got a stack of these Gateway Voodoo putters from [my sponsor] Sunking Discs.
I'll tell you ... I'm very impressed. This is a great putter, my new favorite Gateway disc. I usually put with KC Pro, or P&A Aviars. I really like the sure-grip plastic these discs are made of. Grippy, but still firm. The remind me a lot of the P&A, but have a little bead on them so they are just a tad more overstable than a P&A.
I've tried to get to like Gateway discs several times, but I usually just find something that works better, or has better plastic. I'm very impressed with the Voodoo.
I picked up a couple of sure-grip Elements too ... much nicer than any of the other Elements I have [except for the GLOW ... that's good stuff]. Gateway is releasing a new Element X, renamed the "Warrior". Yes, they used to make a Warrior ... but this is a re-tooled Element X with a new name. I'm looking forward to trying it out when it's available.
Anyone else have any good Gateway news?
My bag has been all Innova for a few years ... but I'm very impressed with the quality Dave is bringing to the Gateway lineup. I may give it another shot in 2009.
