Anyone know how many people are signed up for the tourney so far?

We have had at least 25-30 pre-register online. I do not know how many have already registered in person. The weather forecast keeps looking better and better, so make sure you get there early to register. We will have to cut off registration at 90 players (no exceptions).

How late do you think the tourney will go? I would like to go, but I have to be somewhere at 1:00. I am trying to figure out if I should still show up in the morning...

I would imagine that we would not be done by 1:00. The first round starts at 9:00, and would probably take no less than two hours, but closer to 2 1/2 hours to play. We would then break for an hour for lunch, and then start the 2nd round after that. Best case scneario would put us finishing the 2nd round by 2:00, but it is more likely to be 3:00 or so.

I would say that 1pm on Sat afternoon we should just be starting the 2nd round. I might be off 30 minutes or so. Crockett plays slow with 5-somes. We are going to work hard to keep things moving. For now, I think we can avoid playing in the dark. Plan to have awards finished by then, too. The volunteer crew starts at 6:30am. Come on by and join us. I'm not playing either. I'll check my notes --- but, I think it was your turn to bring the breakfast biscuits. Ron

Good idea. Someone definitely needs to bring some breakfast biscuits, or at least some "HOT NOW" Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Actually, the doughnuts sound so much better at this moment. Who is volunteering?

Just got in. Thanks to all who attended. We are grateful for your support.
I will have scores up in a couple of hours on the pdga website.

Hmm... the PDGA upload has a bug in it. My admin pages shows the score as loaded, but the results page only shows 25 players. Dunno just yet.
Here is a cut and paste version. Oh, BTW, we had 89 players.

It's loaded now. Seems as though we didn't have enough rated players on the red tees to get a baseline for the rounds today. We had 7 with an existing rating -- I think a minimum of 8 propagators is needed.
Not sure if it is resolvable. As it stands now ---- No rating , but I will check in to it.

Somebody asked an editer to do math, and I really messed up handing out bag tags. Here's what I did:
Dustin French 1 Nick DeLorenzo 2 Grant Godel 7 Ryan O’Rear 5 Scott Ralston 10 Brendon LaPier 6 Dave Stabnow 8 Richard Godel 9 Chris Butler 11
Billy Aaron should have gotten #1, and Ryan thingyerson should have gotten #2. I don't know who took home tags #3 and #4 -- it could have been Billy or Ryan, or Mark Mills, Paul Ramirez, or Billy Bullington, all of whom paid for tags.
If you got a tag, be sure to bring it along to other tournaments this year, and we'll make sure you leave with the right one. If you paid for a tag but didn't get one, we'll give you one.

Well, I guess that goes along with someone taking or mis-handling my prize pack too I did pre-pay for a tag, I do not have one, it would be nice to get the proper one. i wont have #2 for long especially if we play whites.

Well, Tags on the first-issue tourney are easily goofed up. Play throughout the year will even that out.
But, I do know this. In the future, prizes will not be awarded before the award ceremony. Serious dollars are involved and we want to get it right and fair. Our integrity as a club is at stake. Waiting until the annointed time is also fair.
For the folks that have to leave early; Pros can give us an addressed envelope if they have to leave. And Ams can just leave. Yep, I said it.
We gave out prizes to 35 ams. Not an easy thing to arrange for a one-day tournament.
The award ceremony is part of the tournament, part of the process. The club will do its part (as in --- work our butt off in prep and execution). I will ask players to step up and do their part --- 1. Please pre-register and 2. If you want , stay for the award ceremony.

Thanks again for a great tournament. The turn out was great. Hole 18 was tough, but after the first round I bet people played it different, and had better scores. I would say 13 was tough, with the elevated basket and the wind blowing discs around.
