I am looking forward to being out there on Sunday Ron. I'm interested in seeing how the different teebox thing plays out. I'm not a pro, but I can shoot +5 or so out there on my own from the longs. I can bump up for the day if ya need me to. Or I can totally dominate from the weenie tees Oh Yea baby! See you all out there, and say hello, so I can put some faces with names.

Oh, yeah! Ready for Doubles.
And since it came up. Rain or shine. Hard to define a decent rain policy because it might be pouring on your end of the county and nothing at the course.
The disc order will be here in time also. Grooves, Bosses, SM Rocs, and more.

I can't see the flyer on my computer. You going three divisions: pro, am, and ad? Ads pair off, pros team with ams? (2:00, right?)

Doubles Divisions? Only one division of play -- everybody.
But, 2 divisions of skill level. Each week, regardless of who or how many -- the crowd will be divided in 2 equally numbered groups. For ease of understanding we shall call them pro and am. It would be just as fair to call them A's and B's.
Each team will have a pro(A or the more skilled folk) and an am (B, or the regular skilled folk) on it -- based on random draw. Hence Random Draw Pro/AM. We will divide the crowd so that f we have an odd number, then the odd player will be an A. They get one extra mulligan per hole. For that shot, they can choose the best lie -- not a "have to take it anyway shot". They get 2 extra shots on any par 4 holes.
The head doubles guru of the week (RD and his doubles leadership team) will divide the group. Random draw is a fairly easy way to keep the teams sorta' even. Ringers and baggers are welcome, but can expect a short-lived run as a B.
Cards of 2 teams (3 if we have to) will be set. The group then heads to white tee on their first hole. A's throw from the whites, then everybody moves to the red tee, and B's throw. Best shot (or best lie) is chosen and both players throw from there.
Hole # 9 will require the A's to throw twice/ B's throw once before best lie is determined. I think for this week, we will move #12 to the cave.
See ya'll Sunday.

That was alot of fun and the dual tees setup really makes the ams matter. Well done Ron. I'm sure I'll make that trip again real soon to enjoy a little Sunday doubles at Crockett.

You're welcome Chris, I just wish we could have made those putts on 5 and 6 to win it all. As quick as you're picking up the game, I think we'll all have to look out for you real soon :-)

Doubles is ON for Sunday, May 3rd at 2. There are discs for sale and some pretty cool new WCDGC towels for $8. The more peeps we get, the bigger the payout.

Looks like heavy rain is predicted for Sunday and everyone is scared. Therefore, doubles will resume next week and will most likely feature someone else managing the affairs.

I suppose I should've checked the forums before showing up at 1:45 yesterday. Played with a new group of good folks; hopefully one or more will participate in some tourneys. Nothing like a round from the reds to boost one's confidence.
I was under the impression Mother's Day was a day off from doubles. Can someone confirm?
