This Saturday, April 4th, the club is renting the mean machine Brush Hog. Our goal is to keep it running from 9am - to 5pm with 2-man teams.
It's an amazing machine. We will get the one with reverse knob on the upper handle.
Our hope is to run it into every tree line on our fairways. Especially where we have wild roses or blackberries. This will make a HUGE difference in our ability to find discs this summer.
I will be around enough to show folks what needs to be hit.
Two hour shifts -- two men at a time. One to run it. The other to pick up big limbs, hold the Gatorade, fill gas, prune the weird stuff. Then swap.
Here is the sign up sheet. Pick a time and email me. If we have enough interest, we can run it on Sunday am also. We shall see. Our rental includes Sunday.
Also, my big red truck threw a rod. It is waiting on a miracle. Who has a truck or trailer that will help me pick the Hog up am and pm ?
Saturday, April 4th Crockett Brush Hog Sign Ups Two Man Teams 9am – 11am 1. Ron Pittman 2. 11am – 1 pm 1. 2. 1pm – 3pm 1. 2. 3pm – 5pm 1. Ron Pittman 2.
Let's do this.

I'm in for the late shift on Saturday. Could probably help transport the beast as well.

Since this is not exactly a sold out event. Scott and I are re-scheduling. We will post here when we pick a day.

Scott and Ron -2 Brush Hog -0 We used up 2 machines today. Bad belt on one, bad bolt on the other. Not too bad, tho. Ran the beast from 7:30am to 4:30pm Didn't get to 12,13, or 14; but got all the other holes. If you can now find your disc after a wanker---- well --- you're welcome! Ron BTW, found Cotton Pickin Flyer disc today. Name said, Korab. I looked the name up. It is a Greek name. Wiki said the origin had something to do with flood control - something about bagging sand.

A special thanks to Bobo for letting us borrow his pickup to haul the beast.
If you see Scott or Bobo, be sure and thank them----- and buy them lunch.
