Great tournament. Hope some folks can go. I am out of town that weekend. Shame tho -- I was thinking about winning.

Don't worry Ron, I'll try to handle that whole winning thing for you while you're gone. Actually, the temp course is one of the better ones we have. Wooded, open, OBs are all represented well. There are also several holes with Mandos, so for a temp course its really pretty tough. Smyrna is my favorite but the temp course by itself is worth the money.

Where is the temp course? I play Sharp Springs about once a week and really like it but I'm only familiar with the regular course out there.

They set it up around the practice fields. So all the way around the perimeter of the area using the woods that are there and all the open space where the kids do soccer/football practice too.

5 up for the day, 3 strokes behind the winner in Advanced. I've been looking for someone to get a single digit bagtag off of, since I've had the #10 for over a month with no one to challenge or defend mine against.. Maybe I can have a shot if the monthly's ever start up again for the WCDGC.

Yea, i was representing also. finished 8th in INT 18 over. 13 over slowroll wind was a factor for me, and the front 9 on the original course added up fast. i did hit a 100 foot approch putt for my personal highlight of the day. love my jk aviars the temp course is really neat, unique challenges and OB threats 135 total players-largest i've played besides BG am's it was a great day for golf no doubt about it, heard a lot of folks talking about missing crocketts events, such a shame we havnt been able to do much. im sure Ron is working on getting us back up and running also heard people saying good things about how they like crockett "great place to work on distance" & "learned how to play in the wind" to name a few.

I met one of the nicest guys in the world out there, said he knew you Ron. Thin, grey hair, real good guy. He walked our second round with us cause he wanted to see some good players on that course and how it was played. I told him we weren't that good, but he said the pros looked at him funny when he asked if he could tag along. He helped me out a ton by running to the car several times when my shoe tore up on me at the beginning of the round. Good to see you're having a positive influence on somebody out that way Ron.
