Played Crockett today and it was in great shape. A lot of ground brush has been cleaned up in many areas. Basket #7 has been moved back to the long "A" position. #10 has also been moved back to the longer "A" spot. Now for some sad news, #12 has been moved back to the short par 3 position. I assume this is the "B" position.
A grounds keeper informed me of these changes as we started our round. He stated that the park was very committed to keeping the course well groomed and in tip top shape; and it certainly was.

I too played yesterday and was VERY impressed.....VERY as Keith stated there were three pins moved (3 good ones i might add) and there was a lot of trimming done in areas that needed it, 12's cave being a good example, all around 7s fairway too. I would like to THANK those involved and we ALL should be very happy with the work that has been done, the mowing has always been good, but this extra trimming is awesome. now if they mow the hillside by the tunnel of 16 the course will be tip top ready for fall. ;D anyway, even though its tough not being able to do our club events, i have to give some kudos to the park for doing that work the course IS in good shape right now, we just need that $4k for pads.

The guys are right. Looks very nice. Color me pleased and shocked. If their goal is to prove a point that they can take care of Crockett as good as we did --- far be it from us to get in the way! Reminds me of my kids. They always worked harder when they were mad. We should have PO'd them a long time ago. I played a round today (another 57 -thankyouverymuch) and not once did I think "Aw, shoot, we need another work day out here". It was sorta' nice. Ron
