I don't know if it has bothered anyone else, but for me I have hit my hand on my follow through several times while at the white tee pad on 8. The tree located right next to the front of the white tee pad on the right. I was wondering if it was possible to get it removed?

James, I have talked to that tree more than once about jumping out in front of people. It has always been quite adamant about being there first --- and only slightly remorseful. On your behalf, I will talk to it again. Maybe it will go better next time. But, to be fair --- there is an equal opportunity tree on both sides of that tee area. We don't want our lefties to feel slighted. And if you haven't figured it out by now, those trees are a part of the hole design. I am sorry about your hand. That never feels good. Most of us just release from a point farther back on the tee area. As long as a supporting member (typically your plant foot) is anywhere on the tee pad at the point of release -- it is legal. I get all tree-hugging green, and goose-bumpley proud just thinking about how we can co-exist with the trees. Don't you? Ron But, if you want to go Poulan & Husqvarna on something --- I've found some seriously stoopid holes here in Dallas that need some trimming.

Hmm, never noticed the one on the left. I guess it could be part of the hole, but I don't know. It just seems a little hazardous.
I suspect the weather is treating you well? I'm going on a trip to Louisville this weekend. Unfortunately the forecast says that there will not be any temperatures above freezing. But, it will be dry, so I will take advantage of that!

James, nice to meet & play a round with you last Sunday. When I saw this post I immediately thought, "Well, just move back or over". Ron responded much more eloquently as usual. I recall when we were first setting these T-pads up that these very same trees became a DISCussion. I DID argue to keep them & move the white tee behind them. This hole is a short, downhill natural backhand & very ACE-able. Both Tees on 8 have dual left/right trees to go thru. Since most of Crockett is open this gives an opportunity for finesse/accuracy to keep this hole interesting. As we said it would be great if the Parks Dept. would put mulched Xmas trees around the course. Don sure did make up a BIG work list. Hmmmm....... Don.... Don.... that name seems sorta familiar... LOL Let's get some new members, get squared away on workday proceedures, move the Club forward & PLAY! ps: don't forget Liberty! Woody
