There's a news story in the Tennessean (I don't know what day it hit the print edition; I found it on-line) which mentions the course.
The whole story is about the county increasing fees for non-resident facility use, but ends with this:
"Under the new plan, Brentwood residents can still make shelter reservations for free and participate in service provider activities with no charge.
The resolution also removed language from the fee structures referring to outside-run tournaments, which are not allowed in Brentwood facilities and fields anyway. Only official Brentwood service providers such as the Civitan Club baseball and Brentwood Blaze football are allowed to have tournaments.
But in the new structure, Williamson County nonprofit organizations could rent out the disc golf course in Crockett Park for $100 for fundraising tournaments."
Does this measure allow the club to once again run a charity tournament to benefit a third-party non profit? That's how I read it.

Personal Background Moment. I grew up in Donelson. It has always been expected, and never a surprise to see Bwood take a "Just Us" approach. Part of life in Mid TN. Connecting it to cashflow just makes it funny.
Rank County Median Household Income 1 Fairfax County, Virginia $100,318 2 Loudoun County, Virginia $99,371 3 Howard County, Maryland $94,260 4 Hunterdon County, New Jersey $93,297 5 Douglas County, Colorado $92,125 6 Somerset County, New Jersey $91,688 7 Morris County, New Jersey $89,587 8 Montgomery County, Maryland $87,624 9 Arlington County, Virginia $87,350 10 Nassau County, New York $85,994 11 Marin County, California $85,892 12 Stafford County, Virginia $85,014 13 Calvert County, Maryland $84,891 14 Santa Clara County, California $84,838 15 Forsyth County, Georgia $83,682 16 San Mateo County, California $82,123 17 Putnam County, New York $81,907 18 Williamson County, Tennessee $81,449 19 Prince William County, Virginia $80,783 20 City of Alexandria, Virginia $80,449
Now, back to dg. I am not sure, but rather sure, that the dg policy hasn't changed. So, yes. I think something like the CCC would still pass muster.

Hey, this is exciting to say the least.
Ron, I know your also concerned with the course conditions as well before any tournament, but this is at least good news.
It reads as though there is a "new" structure that allows the renting of the course. awesome.
Now all we can hope for is for the club to get the insurance we need to do some course maint. and upgrades.
where do we stand on getting the insurance?
the whole increasing fees is what it is, no need to worry about the things we cant change (WOW, did i just type that??? is this a new RD?)
lets get rolling again and shoot for something sanctioned (ie. a CCC) this fall

Even the web page for Liberty DG course says it's available for rent for tournaments and such. Maybe Brentwood is doing the same as Franklin.
