Youth Tournament (ages 12-15)

I am a 14 year old and i play Disc golf almost every week i was wondering if their was any youth tournaments or if we could make one sometime?

Glad you found the board, the sport, and the local courses. I look forward to meeting you.

You have raised a good question. For the most part, it seems that most of the golfers in their teens are satisified with a fun, casual round with their friends and haven't given organized/competive dg much thought. We never had any teens sign up for our big organized sanctioned events.

But, we would be all for putting together something both fun AND competive for what our sport calls the "junior" divisions.

Maybe something easy and informal to start with? What suggestions to you have?

BTW, if you are carding very many 50's from the reds at Crockett ------ your game is developing nicely. We have some of our local gurus (myself included) that would be glad to show you some pointers and get in a round together.

Any of the "who is playing when and where" stuff is open to all. We admit to keeping score (and having a competive inclination) but, we always keep our outings "family friendly", fun, and casual.

If you see an old guy in a red Prius at the course (s) -- that is me. I play most of my rounds with my teenage son. Ryan is a junior in HS and has Downs Syndrome. If most fun wins --- then Ryan and I are on the winning nearly every time.

ive seen u on the course some i play wit my brother hes 16 and his friend clark hes 16 and somtimes my dad hey and if i shot 4 under using par what would that be and if uve seen a kid with a cubs flatbill hat on and throws a hammer throw thats me

;D hey Eric i AM 15 I would be interested if starting little pick up rounds at some course like 3 dollars head 2 for payout and 1 for course devolopment if you would be willing we could try to srart monthly at Crockett
