I know with the recent temperatures its hard to think about summer fading away, but it is! Even with only two playing, it's now again getting pretty dark by the end of a round started at 6, so it's 5:30 again from here on out
Sadly folks, there seems to be too few weeks left on the calendar to make a valid season. If we do get the signed agreement before the end of September, we'll still have a weekly event with prizes. However, I'm afraid the season championship(s) is going to have to wait until next year (which will be a great year for Williamson County Disc Golf!).
Had it actually happened as planned, this Thursday would have been the last day for the inaugural season of the Liberty Park Thursday Singles Handicap League - the day for handing out championship prizes and listening to trash-talking and brash-boasting from the winners. Makes me tear up thinking about it. Looking forward to a full season next year!-
This will still be the last Thursday - getting tougher to get in a round in the woods after work with the days getting shorter. I had thought we'd have a putter challenge or something different like that for this last week...I'm still planning on a safari for Saturday morning and since I promised to set out the tee locations a couple of days beforehand, that's the plan for Thursday. I'll get there and set things up after work and then play through it once, teeing off at 5:00. I want to get an early start so there's time to play the whole thing before we have to pull out glow discs.
So once again...this Thursday - no regular round (for me anyway), safari course, 5:00pm start. Come join me if you can!
