Anyone have a compilation of all the Nashville ice bowls? I'm not sure which (if any) I'll be able to play, but it's nice to know options. Thanks.

Here is the official IB listing.
I see stuff for Chattanooga, Knoxville, Kingsport, Memphis, Bham. Don't yet know about Jackson, Cookeville, or Athens.
I think Barfield/Sharpe Springs is 23/34. Not sure

Sanders ferry in hendersonville is on feb. 29th but Liberty will be the one to do. If you play this course regurlarly it will be nice to see it have a full 18, even if its only for a day. Unless the parks dept. sees that 18 is really needed and tells Ron to go ahead and put it in place. Is that an idea Ron?

Yes, the full 18 will be a real treat. And nope on a permanent 18. First- the city asked for a 9 hole course. The only reason we have 10 is because it made more sense to throw back to the parking lot than walk. The areas not used for dg are 3 in number. 1. The super steep stuff at the top of the hill. No real quality. IMHO, if an 8 year old can't easily walk it without slipping then it isn't a safe place for a hole. 2. The area beyond hole 9. Future expansion calls for a amphitheater in that space. Sure, it could hold some temp holes, but for this event, that space wasn't used. 3. The approach area from the bridge to the course. This is were we have the temp 8, but most of those holes will not be available for long ---- future expansion calls for a dog park, pavilions, and bathrooms. That said, I think that in years to come --- for a genuine sho-nuff tournament, we will always find some way to put in a temp 8. But, I expect the 8 to change depending on future expansion. This park is a welcome addition to Franklin's lineup. And while it is a multi-use park -- the area designated for dg is just for dg. That is more than a good thing. And editorially speaking, while the number of dg courses are on the rise, I am convinced that over time they will be encroached upon by other interests. And I fully expect to see existing courses altered, chopped up, and even pulled in areas where the local players are not connected to the community. The other day, in a non-dg park, a very big, barking, un-leashed dog backed Ryan up in the bushes. Scared the crap out of him. The owner kept trying to convince me that the dog was harmless. I told her that didn't really matter. An unleashed dog was not what we expected to find in a public park. She persisted in her quest to convince me that "with her dog" it would be ok. I finally responded by telling her that while the park is public --- it is not her backyard. Leash the dog. The same goes for us dg'ers. While the parks are public -- it is not our backyard. We shall always be guests. Act accordingly. Ron
