I'm interested, especially since this is the kind of tourney that moves quickly. Keep me posted.

I would like to run one this fall. Normally you play 2 rounds --throwing only a drive. Everything is an ace run. So, you have to set up the course AceRunShort -- one tee for all divisions.
Liberty might be a good choice for a couple of reasons. First, if we set up some short temps, then the walking required to play 18 would be much less than Crockett. In addition, on the holes that aren't short enough from Red to B, we have a nice mulched fairway for the ace run tee off. Not too hard to set up, Not too hard to execute the day.
Some clubs even run 2 events back to back. One on Saturday, and one on Sunday afternoon. Choose 1, 2, or both. That way no one gets left out.
And since normally the club pre-sales the Ace Run package to each player - there isn't much chance for the club to lose money on the event. Win-win.
Who has been to an Ace Race? How was it done? Would you like one here? Where and how?

I played one in Ga a couple years back, really fun.
No major rules other than its one shot per hole. You keep track of your aces and metals off the tee(the metals are used as a tie breaker)
at the end of the day, the one with the most aces wins a NICE prize pack, usually a bag full of discs.
the ace race always uses a new prototype disc from Discraft, so the playing field is totally even.
you can set up mutiple holes to your own discretion, you can have 18, 24, 28....whatever
you can have 8 people cards so on an 18 hole course, 108 people can still play (it moves faster than you think when its just one shot....pick up and move on)
with 100 people, if the holes are set up fair, you can have around 10-15 aces, maybe more
normally you'll get 2 discs in player pack, possibly 2 types of plastic.
it makes for a fun day, I hope we get one together.
