$50 Question
How much do we want to try to accompish next Saturday the 18th??
(I was going to the Alabama Sizzler in the Ham, but can't get away for Sunday -- waaa!)
1. Clear #6
AND ?
2. Rent the DR Trimmer and clean up edges, etc across the course.
If we choose to do so --- Anyone want to sponser the $50 rental?
Anyone want to find a sponser for FREE LUNCH??
Sound Off so we can plan for the day
Thanks, Ron

I won't be able to be there, but I will pitch in half of the $50 for the rental. I committed to a friend that I would go play a tournament in KY this weekend.

I'll match Todd on the other $25 for the Trimmer. How/who/where do I pay? The treasurer should DEFINITELY set up a PayPal account...

(NOTE: I very likely won't BE THERE to use the trimmer, but I will gladly attempt to pay down my guilt for having only made it to 2 workdays. -JLD)

Great! Thanks Todd and Jeff!
Don't worry about missing this one, 'cause with the DR Trimmer in front of me, I can do the work of 3 men!! I will cover for you.
Pay no attention to the fact that I can't spell "spons-er". I got the "i before e" thang confused.
I will let the treasurers of the club answer your "where - how - why not" questions.
Keep up with the Sound Off!
Thanks, Ron
BTW, I forgot to mention. We amost finished 7 and 8. Just a few limbs to drag and some stump cutting. Yesterday was sponsored by the age protected divisions - Thank you very much.

Looks like the DR Trimmer (Tool Man Taylor voice -- arh arh) is paid for. Thanks.
How about this for a plan? Two men at a time on 2 hour swings to guide this flora-munching monster around the park.
Maybe 8 - 10 am 10 - noon noon -2
That should do it. Now is your chance to exact revenge on the blackberry bushes!
Post here for the time of choice.
Thanks, Ron

Ron, My name is Jimmy Ambrose and I've been reading some posts about Crockett Park and about all of the hard work you guys have been doing to get it back up and going. Excuse me for not being up on where the course actually stands today. I actually went out to the course last week looking to see if anything was playable and I could not find any baskets installed. I take it those are the last things to be installed. Also, I would like to lend a hand in helping out. I can’t this weekend (going camping), but I can commit in the future. Just catch me up on everything and maybe an ETA on when you think the course will actually be ready to play. I play mainly at 7 Oaks in Nashville but would like to start looking at playing in Brentwood.

Here is the latest on the Saturday Schedule
8am Gonna' play the back nine. Since my arm is a noodle after a workday, And since I've been whining about working/not playing -- well - play it is.
Meet me at the parking lot in front of the new soccer center and I will escort any newbies to hole 10. Join us.
9 am (ish) Work on Hole number 6. If you miss us in the parking lot, then meet us on the hole. My red truck will be parked beside the walking path near the hole.
For the un-initiated: Park in front of the big new building, go down the walking path on the LEFT of the building towards the old 9 hole course, go off the path down the big empty open hillside towards the woods and the creek. Hole 6 is at the bottom of that hillside. Got it??
For the initiated: Sorta' after hole 5 and before hole 7.
Not nearly enough repsonse on the SOUND OFF to schedule the DR Trimmer. Maybe another day.
I will probably leave about noon. You are most welcome to work on 6 without me. When in doubt, drag and pile brush.
Thanks, Ron

I shot a 49 ....... On 9 holes. I was late for the first 4 holes. Richard won the day.
Clearing went better. Al, Richard, Grant, Ron, and Ryan the Machete Man were a team to be reckoned with.
And, guess what we found lurking behind all that brush?? Yep, hole 6 is now showing his bad self.
Thanks, Ron
