Gents, good evening. New to the forum, and to the game. I was ready to forever destroy my golf clubs and give up anything with golf in the name about 1 month ago. Started playing in the first place more for corporate outings than love for the game. My friend convinced me to join him for an afternoon at Saunders Ferry and the rest is history. From the first couple of discs bought at the Exxon by the course to my nightly practice throws almost every night after work now in any field I can find, I am anxious to beat personal best and improve any chance I can find. Anybody need a nice set of clubs?? TO get to the point...I was griping about not having a course near my house in Belleview or my job in Franklin when I discovered this course on line. Right in between both!! I haven't played yet, but I have driven over and walked around the rec center several times trying to determine target order and placement. Looks awesome and I can't wait to attempt a round this weekend. I see this definitely being my "home course" and am willing to do anything I can to help...time, effort, monetary. I am taking next week off for "vacation", aka catching up on the home front and honey do list, and am available if I can be of service. Looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully soaking up some pointers and direction in the process. Love the game despite my newness and very much appreciate your efforts to put a pristine course in my "backyard". Thanks! Brian

Brian, Welcome to the game, Crockett Park, and WCDGC.
Your story sounds like so many of us. I sometimes call it poor man's golf. Less money, less time. And in addition, more fun.
I am near the course several times each week for work. I would be happy to set up a round with you and give you the guided tour. Sorta hard to navigate until we get signs in.
Will probably have a PlaySome/WorkSome Casual Tournament on Saturday the 6th. Some of us are gone this weekend to Jackson for a tourney there.
Looking forward to meeting you, Ron

Ron, thanks! Sounds great. Would you happen to have any availability on Sun or early part of the week? Looking forward to helping however possible and gleaning some tips. Eight Six Six Eighty Four Eleven.
