I'll be in Kansas City the end of this week and planning on playing some DG. What 3 courses should I play? Played Waterworks and Swope here in Kansas City today. Waterworks was terrific. Required a lot of long shaping shots. Don't be fooled by Kansas being flat. The terrain and elevation were major. Some very nice wooded holes and long open holes with spread out trees. I pride myself in being fairly fit for my age. However, I was TIRED after walking this course. Regardless, a great course and a must play if you are ever in Kansas City. Swope was a fun course but not as challenging as Waterworks. Swope reminded me of Two Rivers with more trees and a variety of shots needed. Also had a lot of rolling hills but not near as much as Waterworks. Both of these courses allow you to throw long drives over long and deep valleys from elevated tee pads. Major fun watching disc stay in the air that long! Met the guys over at Disc Golf World as well today (very nice disc golf shop and on-line ordering warehouse) They literally had thousands of discs stack to the ceiling of their warehouse. Great guys. The older owner (Rick Rothstein) knew Ron P. But of course..... doesn't everyone. OK, the rest of my stay is with my wife as we tour and visit my son n' laws family. Have fun this Sunday guys. I don't think my flight gets in early enough for me to make it out. Blessings!
