Franklin park staff has finally had some nice weather and has done some trimming and mulching. The big pile of mulch by the parking lot is gone --- it is now spread on the course. Nice. They will do more after the Christmas tree recycle program provide more mulch.
If you noticed some trees with an orange doe, worry not. That just marks the perimeter of places to mulch.
Thanks,

Played the reds at Liberty today . . . I'm afraid it is definitely time to take it back out of the Sunday rotation. With no warm-up, my first throw went straight into the first tree and fell straight down. It was only 25ft away. I didn't throw any others, but rather walked straight to it, and it still took me five minutes of digging through the brush to find it. Luckily, I stayed in the fairway the rest of the time, but wasn't brave enough to attempt the whites. I felt sure I would lose one or two if I had played the whites. Additionally, the storms that came through earlier this week caused quite a bit of tree damage there. Most of it was in the in-between areas and didn't affect the course, but there is one completely blocking the flight line on hole eight. Next time someone does decide to brave the course, take a saw along with you.
