Aw shoot. I am out of town for all of these.
For the un-informed. Bill and the CPF run a great tourny. Rather decent lot. Worth the short drive.

"decent" is that the best you can say about us?
I think we were some of your first paid bag tag holders.

I've been hanging around my Minnesotan buds. Masters of understatement.
Actually it would be great if some of our locals made it the see the Sportsplex layout. If only we could show pictures of how the course has progressed in the last few years. A perfect lesson in how a course takes time to come into its own.

I sure wish we had some "before" pictures, the course is now better than I could have ever dreamed it could be. We are very proud of what we have and the work we have put into it. We have more plans to improve it this fall as well, hopefully it will be even better in time for our tournament.
If any of you would like to see how decent a bunch we are, come join us for doubles on Sunday afternoons. We start at 1:30 each week, entry fee $4. Our ace pot is currently at $314. We will be at the 7 hole course at ASU this week and the first Sunday of December. And at the Sportsplex all other Sundays.
To get to either of our courses just head south on I-65 13 miles across the state line to exit 354 (US Hwy 31) then,
to the Sportsplex - turn left at the first light into the park, the 1st tee is near the dead end of drvie.
to ASU - turn right at second light, go about one mile. Course is behind library, the large building on the right side of road.

Just a suggestion ... discgolffusion.com/has a great online database of disc golf courses around the country. They can very accurately mark course locations for Google Maps and Google Earth. I updated all the courses here in Western Colorado with the exact locations of the first tees on our courses. This is a great resource for TD's and Clubs who want to make their courses easy to find. I've used Google Earth to find the exact lat/long for the courses in my area so if you use discgolffusion.com/ to find a course in western Colorado, you will be able to drive right to it! I see that discgolffusion.com/ does not have the exact locations for the Athens courses, at least they don't look right after reading the directions. It would be great if this information was updated. I think most of the courses in Nashville area are pretty accurate ... I might have updated a couple of those too ... can't remember. I'll be in Thompson's Station the week prior to the tournament, not sure if I can make it down or not, but I would love to come and play another tourney before I come back. The Colorado tourney season is over. Anyone know how long it will take to drive from Thompson's Station down to the Sportsplex? This is a one day event right?

I am not sure where Thompsons Station is, but add 13 to the I-65 exit number and that will give you the number of miles.
One day event.

boneman, Looking forward to you hitting town. Of course, I will be in CA. Hope to play Golden Gate a couple of times.
Where is TS??
a. Home to 3/5ths of the original 5 members of WCDGC.
b. Just a bit off of Saturn Pkwy exit on I-65. I think exit 53. 53 plus Bill's 13= 1 hour from my house to the Sportsplex. Easier to get to than Hendersonville.
BTW, the google earth view for Crockett Park is a fuzzy mess. Same for the sky view from mapquest, etc. I think the satellite picture taker guy had his finger in front of the lense. Not hardly worth fooling with just yet.

Recreational Division has been added. Entry fee will be $10 for it. Recreational is for players rated under 875.
I have recieved an Innova Traveler that I plan to give to the winner of Advanced if we have at least 10 in that division. Am payout in all divisions will be at least 160%.

I got something nice in the mail today that I will add to the first place in Intermediate for this tournament.
It is the 2007 Christmas disc from Innova, these discs go to Team Innova members and Innova dealers. This years disc is a Glo Champion Orc with a very nice stamp of an elf putting inside of a snow globe. This one is max weight, 175g.
