I'm excited. Beakers silence must be his version of trash talking. Or the power of my team has scared him. Hahaha.

It was a great time for sure. Thx for getting it together, RD. As Team Hodge was saying, it was a great group of guys having a good time, and isn't that what it's all about? There was definitely some crazy-good golf being played for 2 rounds in the scorching 98-degree heat as well. As the somewhat new guy in town, it was a pleasure to finally meet the rest of you guys in-person. Hope to see you all more often in the rounds to come.

On the plus side, a really great tourney. Enjoyed it thoroughly. On the bummer side, I appear to have lost my wallet and the last place I remember having it was in the parking lot. If you happened to see it, please let me know. (I figure I'd've already been notified if you found it, but there's no harm in asking.)

First of all, I hope Becker finds his wallet. Thats an empty feeling, I hope an honest person finds it and returns it soon. A huge thanks to all of you that participated in what I thought was a great event. After all of the confusing discussion on the boards, I believe it made the event what it was. Thank for everyones input. I hope to do one again maybe this fall when its not so brutally hot! A big thanks to Ron for the printing and supplies, the support and knowledge bank he brings to our club. A big thanks to Jordan Clifton. He really wanted to be there and work trumped his plans....somebody has to make a buck. He unselfishly donated the gift cards as a last place prize. I thought it was awesome! Impressive game from a lot of folks. We had 9....think about that for a sec....9 bogey free scores came in on round 2 and thats with 38 total holes that were played in tough shot format. the hot score for round 1 was a the great team of Craig B and Ambrose with a 49. This made for an interesting 2 round as they were at the top of the tough shot pile the median was set at an even 54. Forcing 5 teams to play tough shot on round 2. One played as few as 2 holes, and Craig and Ambrose having play 10. ("tough" luck Craig ) The format seemed to do its job as the round 2 scores were a bit tighter as the hot round was a 42 shot by Stephen H and Peter C, followed by a couple 43s...one of which was an impressive recovery by Jacob H and Shane S. Pulling back after a rough 1st round All in all it was a smooth event, thanks again for all those that participated. It was nice to meet some new faces. Look forward to seeing yall out there again soon. RESULTS: (after a 3 way tie throw off to set 1st-3rd) Team Round1 Round2 Total Becker & Jeff 51 43 94 (6 tough) Craig & Ambrose 49 45 94 (10 tough) Aaron & Mike M 50 44 94 (8 tough) Stephen & Peter 53 42 95 (2 tough) Rd & Keith M 51 47 98 (6 tough) Trevor & Chad 57 43 100Bryan W & Linden 55 45 100Jason & Jay 54 47 101Gabe & Carlos 55 47 102Josh W & Justin F 49 54 103Jacob & Shane 62 43 105Eric & Taylor 57 48 105Team Pittman 59 50 109Well, I didnt notice till I put this scores in that the top five were those that played tough shot....Craig, I'll make a deal with ya. I'll take your advice on next format being one hole per number your score is below the median....but its gonna be full on WORST shot pad to pin ;D

Sorry to hear about your wallet Becker. That is always a big hassle with getting new Id's and all. I hope somebody at least mails it back to you. It was a good time, and I really enjoyed getting to play with the WCDGC guys again. We had our chance in the playoff but came up short. Congrats to the winners, you guys played well.

Team Pittman had a blast. We are just plum honored to have been the foundational score. We celebrated with ribs and steak at Logans'. Thanks Jordan! Great shooting gentlemen!! We got to play with 2 of the 3 top finishers. Very nice. If I looked at the numbers correctly ---- It seems that of the teams that were below the median after the first round (our first round winners) A. The handicap leveled them out very nicely. B. Only one team of the first round top finishers fell out of the leaders at the end of the day And it looks like that of the teams above the median after the first round -- only 2 teams climbed up past the middle -- and only by a stroke. In other words, I don't think the handicap took much off of the better teams. They played most well and the tough shot format didn't faze them much -- especially from the red tees. Although it was fun watching them think and strategize. Not sure what I would suggest as a change. It was fun, challenging, competitive. A great day. Worst shot sounds nice, too. I have never played alternating shot, but would like too. Ron
