Man.... I so hate it when work gets in the way of my Disc Golf. I can't do May 15th. Belmont University has their graduation day that day. I have to attend!!!!! So sad!!! So I look forward to hearing some great stories from the first "Disc Golf Jug event"

from looking at the tn forum I think there will be at least one team forming maybe two from out on the rutherford side of town.
it would be great to have at least four teams, 2 from each area.
whos gonna join up for team 2 on the wcdgc side???
Im thinking team one (tenativley named the scapegoats) consists of
Becker-
Ron-
James-
RD-
remember to keep it fair, try to stick to the 3700 combined pdga rating, if you dont have a rating, use 925 as a default.

Yep, I'm in. Are we going to do any entry fee and payout the winners, or are we sticking with the UGLY trophy idea? Doug Jones said he could get us a nice trophy, all I have to do is let him know since he apparently is made of money and is fielding his own team to beat not only me, but all of you as well. How's that for a true friend? Good to see you, now take this whoopin! Looking forward to it boys.

We have to stick with the ugly thophy due to no exchange of funds at b'wood, which is cool with me, the ugly/cool thophy could be fun/funny. It'll become like the stanley cup, with all the player names etched into it and passed along from event to event.
bring it on Doug, the scapegoats are ready.

Looks like I will have a team with some familiar faces. I wanted people like me that actually play at Smyrna, and whose favorite course is Smyrna. So yea, I've got a few of the regulars even if we don't quite add up to 3700. I think we'll be just fine.

There is no need for such a long break inbetween rounds RD. We'll be done by 11:30 at Crockett, in Smyrna and had lunch by 1. I don't want to sit around till 3 to play some more. 1:30 or 2:00 will be fine.

May 15, 2010
Two Rounds
Round 1 tee off @ Crockett Park (whites) 9:00a.m.
Round 2 tee off @ Sharp Springs Park (20 holes) TBD
(3a and 9a will be played, 15 long will not)
Form your own team of four players with PDGA ratings totaling no more than 3700
If a player does not have a rating, then default a 925
(Ex.) Player A rated 917
Player B rated 857
Player C default 925
Player D rated 932
Totals 3631
This is a non-club-affiliated event. No entry fee, as well as no payout will be awarded. We are playing for bragging rights and hopefully a trophy of sorts to be passed along for future team events.

May 15th sounds good. So, How about fielding a 2nd or 3rd team from WC??? Scotch? Don? Keith M.?? Bryan?? David B? Richard G? Dave S?? Where is Nick and Dustin? They got an arm. Ron "it ain't trash if it's true" Pittman I'm still interested, and I think we have Chris interested now too? Just need two more...who above wants to join the fun? Don, I remember reading an email that said you wanted in... Keith - did I hear you say there still may be a possibility even with graduation duties? I can't promise any great representation for the club, but I have a good day now and then. Maybe one of them will be May 15. ;D |

Would love to be a part of a "Jug" team. But due to Belmont's graduation that morning and conducting a friends wedding orchestra that afternoon, I'm out for this one guys. Have fun and I look forward to hearing the stories!

Several holes at Smyrna are underwater, unless something changes we will need to have round 2 at Barfield after lunch on Saturday. Is Crockett ok?
