After considerable deliberation, I've constructed a strategy to help the Scapegoats win the next "Jug" event:
Shoot better.
A word of advice for Craig - Don't redecorate your house in order to better display the trophy. Call IKEA and send back the hippopotamos end table set and elephant lamps. (Now I need to figure out how to explain to my missus why I repainted our living room in a jungle motif. Yeesh.)

My wife just looked at me when I brought that thing in the house. "Now what exactly is that thing?" she said to me upon seeing it for the first time. My kids asked me why I had a wooden chessboard with no pieces. Clearly they are all very impressed!
When can we play golf for prizes out your way? Smyrna and Saunders Ferry are still unplayable and I'm sure that there are golfers looking for things to do while they remain closed. As far as my side of town, I'd love to have a few of you out and play Cedars of Lebanon, and the Shire(private course in Lebanon...he just mowed the fairways) one afternoon. Just let me know when. There doesn't seem to be much going on till the Smyrna tourny June 5th. Holla back.

Slow, I sure want to play that Shire course, what type of baskets does he have?
Do you think Smyrna will be ready for the 5th?

My standard availability is Sundays at 2:00, and I always enjoy a new course, so I'd love to try the Shire as well. If it's in Lebanon, probably more of a 2:30 thing for me. If that's closed, I'd do Cedars of Lebanon. (Is that a pay to park on weekends?)
My legs were tired after two rounds; I really need to start training before the Insanity Ochos.

RDHomemade PVC baskets that catch really well. I sure hope the water receedes by then. I'm sure there will be an official announcement as we get closer to the scheduled date. beckerSundays after lunch are good with me too if you want to come take this #3 tag from me at either/or both of the courses out here. Like I said, if you want to check em out I'll be your guide. Cedars takes about an hour and a half to play with 4 players, The shire a little over 2 hours since it's 22 holes.

I would really like to visit the Shire. It would be Great if Gandalf were there. I would love to meet Gandalf!
When is the trip?

I don't mind playing tour guide, just give me a day or two's notice to make plans. Whenever is fine by me. You laugh, but he does have a wizard statue out there, and gargoyles too i seem to remember.

I propose Saturday August 7th for our next team competition. Let it be known that since being in posession of the trophy that I am 2 for 2 tournys entered and won. Be careful, we do not yet fully understand the power of "the jug".
I'm open to moving this to the following weekend if that fits better into everyones schedules, but am quite solid on the fact that Smyrna will be the course we'll be playing representing MTDGA.

And I'm playing another round at the shire tomorrow after work at 4, and have a few friends showing up. Feel free to give me a call if you'd like to join the fun.

I'm still trying to get a team together since as of today, my team consists of me... so whenever everyone can make it is fine. I just picked that weekend because there was nothing else going on locally on that Saturday.

There is no interest on this side :-(
I will forfeit the jug until a time as I can assemble a team together to chase it down once again.
