still under water? wow.
well, Barfield works too, if there is still water on smyrna now, it will be a mud pit for a couple weeks, not much fun.
I guess we should go ahead and call it.......
Crockett is good, so once we meet there in the morning, lets make the decision. See yall there

Calling for crap weather this weekend too. On the bright side, that'll mean less crowds on the course. Doesn't matter to me whether it's Smyrna or Barfield; happy to get out and play two rounds in a day.

Got my team for Saturday.
EB 925 SM 930 CB 939 JJ 889 Total 3683
Our pro is also our over 40 player, so I'm gonna let him play pro, and I'll run with the old farts since I'm not too far away from it myself. I hope Doug's team makes it out as well so we can at least have 3 teams competeing.

nope. I would still love to participate, and as far as I know Chris would too, but so far we've been unsuccessful at finding any other takers. I think it's going to be a fun day for all involved, but perhaps the fact that this team would have no chance of winning is keeping others away. ;D

Well I would say show up anyway to anyone that could form a team that morning
If for some reason you cant, well you can always play a round anyway

I'm going to Liberty this afternoon at 5:30 to find some peeps brave enough to lift the jug.

Living in Murfreesboro for 4 years, I have to say that Jacky Logan could beat us all with his left arm. No really, he hurt his right arm and just played left handed for a season. Barfield is MUCH harder than Liberty....in my humble opinion. I probably played Barfield 100 times in my time at MTSU and it only took 3 rounds for me to finish under at Liberty. just my two cents. smyrna is harder than Crockett, too.

Got my team for Saturday. EB 925 SM 930 CB 939 JJ 889 Total 3683 . Boy, am I slow on the uptake. I figured out who EB is. I say if you are going to throw in a ringer --- at least make it a good one. ;D I think for the sake of InterCountyPeace we shall make the Oh-Fish-el ruling that for this year's Jug Challenge that Unrated = Currently Non-Current, but Formerly Rated. I'm guessing we shall fine tune that definition in future encounters. But, for this year ---- The Scapegoats will still be pulling for Bro. Jim to hold his own against the Burde Man. Should be interesting. It looks like we will have more than 2 teams. That means I won't get to play on the same card as these two. Both are an honor to play with. Ron

I checked some recent tournaments. 2009 CCC at Crockett the SSA came out 55.40 for both rounds. My best guess for allowing for some target changes and hopefully less windy conditions -- Saturday at Crockett should have an SSA near 52.52009 WB at Barfield looks to have an SSA of 50.08 18 holes in typical setup. I don't know how it was set up compared to now, so the SSA could climb up or down a stroke for Saturday. 2009 Skeeter Heater at Sharpe Springs was 50.63 18 holes in original setting. Liberty?? Don't have any tournament numbers. And 20 holes to 18 isn't all apples to apples numberwise. There are two distinct setups. All a's or all b's. Just for numbers sake, I would estimate a round at Liberty (leaving off hole 10) and playing 9 from white and 9 from red in normal conditions at "A" targets --- SSA estimated at 50 "B" targets ---- SSA estimated at 46 Ron

Last time I checked Jacky doesn't play Advanced, Intermediate, Masters, etc... so him being able to beat us with either hand is kind of irrelevant. He’s also one of the nicest guys we have around and is willing to spend his time to help teach the game and he is the reason why I did the “Tips from the Pro” section on TNDISCGOLF.com. I knew he had a ton of information he could share that would help us fellow players and was kind enough to do it. Barfield harder than Liberty, Smyrna harder than Crockett? I guess that depends on where you live. Me, I live in Lebanon, and play Smyrna 50+ times a year, I drive and play Crockett maybe 5 times. For me, the one I don’t get to practice on is much tougher. Liberty is an awesome course and it provides the variety that this town desperately needed. We finally have the elevation changes of a 2 rivers mixed with the wooded elements that make courses like Cedar Hill and Smyrna so much fun to play. It all depends upon your point of view bonesaw. Ron, about EB; until 3 days ago I didn’t have a confirmed pro or an intermediate, just a bunch of maybes and we’ll sees. Several guys had this excuse or that but I thought for the longest time that I wasn’t even going to get to play. Scott asked Ed since they had been playing casual rounds together and he agreed. Couldn’t ask for a better dude, and if we don’t get a 3rd team, I vote us old guys run with the Pros just so I can watch him play

Though I threatened last night I wasn't going to make it to the course in the morning without a team firmed up, I lied. I'll be there in the a.m. and hopefully Scotch, David, and one other will show up too. Don Blankenship? You said a couple of weeks ago you wanted in... Becker...do you have a way to contact Chris to see if he's still interested at this late hour? Anybody with an arm...?

Big ups to Becker having the hot overall score of the day with a 104. Both teams played well and it was about as close as I expected. I'll display the Trophy on the mantle at my house proudly until we put it up for grabs again this fall. I hope next time we get to have several teams compete from each side and thanksto everybody that showed up to compete today. Great time had by all.

there were some great golf shots out there today as well as some nice scores, i look forward to seeing the "jug/plate/throphy" up for grabs again.
Slow, enjoy that thing on your mantle. Its the stanley cup of middle TN.
