Sunday doubles at Liberty tomorrow. 2pm.
Ryan and I will actually be there.
AND, we will make a decision tomorrow about keeping Liberty in the rotation during the spring/summer. The underbrush looks most healthy. We shall see.

We are on today. I will be there. We are at Crockett. Liberty is out of the mix for now due to overgrowth.

Cam mentioned fireworks would be at Crockett this upcoming Sunday. Not sure what time they start setting up or whether our regular finish time (4:30ish) affords enough time to play a round. If we're wary of that, any alternatives proposed? My understanding is Liberty can't be played without a machete, a sherpa, a GPS, anti-insect netting, a herd of goats, and a flame thrower.
Should we attempt to congregate elsewhere? Push the time up a smidge? Scrap it?
Also to be considered: the MCO happens this weekend. Not sure what courses will be knocked out of play because of it.

I have thunk these very same thoughts. We could play earlier (10,11,noon,1pm) which is fine by me.
Or someplace else.... Horton? Cedar Hill? Murf?
If it's a nice day..... I just wanna' play!

Need to stay out of Crockett the entire day because of the setup for Fireworks. Parking lot will be closed. Know that the Music City Open will be going on at either Seven Oaks, Cedar Hill, or Fontanel. Not sure which one. Ron and I want be there due to just getting back from AM Worlds. We are tired of throwing plastic. Blessings!

Rumors exist of some folks playing Barfield Saturday at 10:30 AM.
Bryan and Matt, I'll call you in the morning in case you didn't see this.

Liberty Report So Sunday I decided to take a walk on the wild side & play around with Liberty. On red Teepad 1 I thought, "Wow, looks very bushy." Undaunted soon Bam Bam, thankfully two birdies in hand. Liberty has gotten a reputation as being very au natural, wild & uncivilized. Deserved? Pros: * Location * It can feel like your own secluded, private course. No waiting. * A hilly 20 holes feels like 18. * Wildlife: deer, turkeys & chicks (turkettes?), turtles, etc. * Trash cans were emptied. * The pin location screws in the Teepad signs correct. * Focus on accuracy, putting. I did more sidearm (which is so useful). * I didn't lose a disc although I did ride on the roaring rapids from white 3. Tradition & all that..... * Yay, not Crockett again! ** You are in the shade 95% of the time. A BIG + on a sunny, scorcher day. Cons: * No score cards, just a few pencils in box. * Huge piles of mulch; still waiting to be used. * Jumping in is the hardest part. Holes 1, 2, 3 definitely need a thorough trim job. Hole 10 too. * While undergrowth, branches, bodocks & bugs are on folks minds it's not like Crockett is free of those concerns lately either. ** To play in Liberty safely I recommend that you wear protection. Long pants would help, but definitely spray with a DEET product. I did & later found 1 tick that was DOA & I wore shorts. I have gotten more ticks from my yard before. MY Conclusion: IS Liberty the untamed Maneater feared by many? Let's see: no lost discs, no waiting, no sunburn, 1 dead tick. I shot a 61 for 10 red + 10 white (ummm.... should I mention I played 1 man dubbles? ). Did I mention 95% shade? That's huge. So from my perspective..... No. YMMV, Woody
